I'm Nikunj, from the CutShort team. I worked remotely for my boss in the past for 2.5 years. And now have some people working remotely for our team. So, have seen things from both sides of the table. :)

In my mind, the 3 main ingredients of being successful at remote work are:

1. Having clear expectations (what is th expected outcome and by when?)
2. Regular and effective communication (where am I, what roadblocks I see and how can we become better?)
3. Strong work ethic (I committed this. I gotta do this. At the worse, I need to inform if I'm not going to be able to do this)

Hi I am Rishi, I have been working remotely as a Dev-Ops engineer for the last 5 months. Agree with @Nikunj Verma about the ingredients for being a successful remote resource. 

I guess the biggest challenge is the acceptance of the remote work culture by fellow team members. Often remote resources seem to be invisible to the rest of the team.
